Regulatory Defensibility¶
Compliance
Regulatory Defensibility gives you a clear view of your compliance posture — which controls are satisfied, which are violated, and what the exposure looks like if gaps remain.
Overview¶
"Defensibility" means your ability to demonstrate to auditors, regulators, and customers that you meet compliance requirements — with evidence, not just assertions.
The Regulatory Defensibility module shows:
- Framework compliance status — Overall posture per enabled framework
- Violated controls — Controls not yet satisfied, linked to findings
- Linked findings — Security issues causing control violations
- Penalty exposure — Potential regulatory impact of unresolved gaps
- Remediation status — Progress on closing compliance gaps
Why it matters¶
| Stakeholder | What they need |
|---|---|
| Auditors | Evidence that controls are met |
| Regulators | Proof of continuous compliance |
| Customers | Assurance that you protect their data |
| Board / executives | Understanding of compliance risk exposure |
Regulatory Defensibility consolidates this into one view — so you're always audit-ready, not scrambling before an audit.
What you'll see¶
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Framework overview | Compliance percentage per framework |
| Control violations | Controls failing, with severity and linked findings |
| Finding linkage | Which findings are causing control failures |
| Remediation tracker | Open vs. resolved compliance gaps |
| Penalty exposure | Estimated regulatory risk from unresolved violations |
